The Gambling Board of Namibia (GBN) informs all Casino, Gambling House, Bar and Shebeen Gambling License holders that all outstanding gambling levies and fees must be paid accurately and on time, in line with the Gaming and Entertainment Control Act, 2018 (Act No. 13 of 2018), and the applicable Gambling and Gambling Activities Regulations.

The Board emphasizes that the timely payment of these statutory levies is essential to maintaining compliance within the regulated gambling and entertainment industry and to ensuring that all licensed operators continue to operate lawfully under Namibia’s gaming framework. This notice is issued in accordance with the provisions of Sections 62 and 61 of the Act, as well as Regulations 29 and 25, and serves as a formal reminder to all license holders of their financial and reporting obligations.

All license holders are required to settle outstanding gambling levies and fees calculated from the date of license issuance or from the date of the last payment made, payments must be completed from the date of publication of this notice no later than 30 April 2026, and license holders must complete and submit the prescribed levy remittance form together with monthly net income declarations and supporting documentation, as part of the Board’s monitoring and accountability processes.

The Gambling Board further notes that failure to comply with this directive may result to immediate disciplinary action, including penalties, suspension, or withdrawal of licenses. The Board also highlights that all information provided in remittance submissions will be audited for accuracy and completeness, reinforcing its commitment to transparency, proper regulation, and the integrity of Namibia’s gambling sector.
