The Gaming Supervision Institute (ISJ) has held an Institutional Workshop in the Province of Cabinda, marking a key step in strengthening its institutional presence in the northern region of Angola. The event also served as the formal presentation of the Institute and its newly appointed Regional Coordinator for the Northern Region, Dr. Sebastião Tomágua.

The workshop was attended by the Director General of ISJ, Dr. Nerethz Tati, and brought together a broad range of stakeholders, including representatives from the Provincial Government, defense and security agencies, magistrates, municipal administrations, and other public institutions. The gathering provided an important platform for dialogue, experience-sharing, and clarification of the Institute’s mandate and responsibilities within the gaming sector.

The opening session was chaired by the Provincial Delegate of Finance in Cabinda, Dr. Daniel Conde, representing the Honorable Provincial Governor, Dr. Suzana de Abreu. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of ISJ’s institutional presence in the province and highlighted the value of inter-institutional cooperation in strengthening the supervision and regulation of the gaming industry in Angola.

In her address, the Director General of ISJ described the workshop as a space for institutional engagement, knowledge exchange, and enhanced coordination among state bodies. She reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to promoting legality, ensuring transparency, combating illegal gambling activities, and advancing responsible gambling practices.

The initiative forms part of ISJ’s broader territorial expansion strategy, which aims to strengthen its presence across Angola’s provinces. This approach is designed to reinforce local cooperation mechanisms and consolidate effective supervision of the gaming sector at the national level. The workshop is expected to further enhance collaboration between ISJ and key stakeholders, contributing to improved governance and regulatory oversight within the industry.
