The Director General of the Gaming Supervision Institute (ISJ), Dr. Nerethz Tati, conducted a listening visit to the Golden Dragon Casino at the InterContinental Hotel in Luanda.

The visit took place under the “ISJ In Dialogue” initiative, which encourages direct engagement with operators and supports the identification of key challenges in the sector.

During the visit, the General Manager accompanied the Director General through the casino facilities, including the gaming rooms. Dr. Tati then listened to the managers about the casino’s operations and its development prospects.

At the meeting, discussions focused on the contribution of gaming to revenue generation and job creation, as well as the conditions necessary for operator sustainability. The Director General emphasized that the sector’s growth must go hand in hand with compliance with regulations, operator responsibility, and the creation of value for society.

The importance of customer awareness and the adoption of practices that promote responsible and safe gaming was also highlighted. The Director General further stressed the need for ongoing dialogue to recognize challenges and support practical solutions for the sector’s sustainable development.

Representing the InterContinental Hotel, the manager, Mr. Mário Ferreira, thanked the ISJ for the visit and the openness shown, describing the meeting as an opportunity to strengthen institutional cooperation.

The visit concluded with continued dialogue between the ISJ and those responsible for the venture, along with a reaffirmation of the ISJ’s commitment to ensuring an Angola-based gaming sector that is regulated, responsible, and safe, grounded in rule compliance, player protection, and sustainable development.
