The Gaming Supervision Institute (ISJ) has officially launched its Provincial Service in Benguela as part of its ongoing strategy to strengthen regulatory oversight and expand its institutional presence across Angola.

The newly established provincial office will oversee activities not only in Benguela but also in the neighbouring provinces of Huíla and Huambo, bringing the Institute’s services closer to local communities, gaming operators, and public institutions.

The formal presentation session highlighted the ISJ’s role in regulating and supervising Angola’s gaming sector, while outlining the legal framework governing gaming activities in the country. The event also served as a platform to promote responsible gambling practices and reinforce efforts to combat illegal gaming operations.

During the session, Institute representatives explained the responsibilities of the ISJ, emphasizing the importance of compliance with national gaming regulations and encouraging operators to uphold responsible and transparent business practices. Citizens were also educated on the risks associated with illegal gambling and the benefits of engaging only with licensed operators.

According to the Institute, the expansion reflects its broader territorial strategy aimed at improving regulatory effectiveness, increasing public awareness, and fostering closer collaboration with local authorities and stakeholders.

By establishing a stronger presence in the provinces, the ISJ seeks to enhance oversight of the gaming sector while ensuring that regulatory standards are consistently applied across the regions under its jurisdiction.

The Institute said the initiative reaffirms its commitment to institutional proximity, the protection of citizens, and the development of a gaming industry that is transparent, responsible, and fully aligned with Angola’s legal and regulatory framework.
