In a swift response to the devastating floods impacting the Vhembe District Municipality, the Limpopo Gambling Board (LGB) successfully mobilized a collaborative support initiative. By calling upon its industry licensees, the board facilitated the delivery of essential aid to households struggling in the wake of the disaster.

The relief effort focused on addressing the immediate needs of vulnerable families through the donation of critical supplies. The total value of the contributions amounted to R25,000, which was distributed across the affected communities: Betfred stepped forward with a generous donation of food supplies to combat food insecurity following the floods. The LGB, in partnership with various licensees, provided necessary hygiene products and toiletries.

This initiative highlights a shared commitment to corporate social responsibility and demonstrates the significant impact partnerships can have when addressing the immediate effects of climate change and natural disasters.

While supporting community welfare, the Limpopo Gambling Board continues to emphasize the importance of a safe and regulated gambling environment. The board encourages the public to remain vigilant and report any unauthorized activities to the authorities.
