The National Lottery of Burkina Faso (LONAB) officially presented a cheque of 32,920,500 CFA francs to a fortunate winner of the 4+1 Pari Mutuel Urbain Burkinabè (PMU’B) draw. The cheque handover ceremony took place at the Live Courses Space (ECD), located in the Commercial and Administrative Activities Zone (ZACA) in Ouagadougou.

The event was presided over by Mr. Yamba Jean Zida, representing the Director General of LONAB, Mr. Ibrahim Ben Harouna Zarani, in the presence of the Director of the Main Agency of Ouagadougou, Mrs. Nachire Rokia Ouedraogo/Ky, along with LONAB officials and invited guests.

The winner, Mr. Ipoua Achille Bazie, struck fortune after placing a 1,200 CFA franc bet on the 4+1 game. By correctly predicting the winning combination, he secured the impressive jackpot of 32,920,500 CFA francs, becoming one of the latest success stories of PMU’B.

Visibly emotional during the ceremony, Mr. Bazie received his cheque amid applause from participants. He expressed disbelief at his win and shared his plans to use the funds to complete personal projects, including building a house and improving the living conditions of his family. He also encouraged other participants to continue trying their luck, emphasizing that persistence and belief can lead to success.

In his remarks, the LONAB representative congratulated the winner and highlighted the organization’s continued commitment to fairness, transparency, and responsible gaming. He reiterated that LONAB remains a trusted institution dedicated to ensuring the full and timely payment of winnings while contributing to national development through its operations.
