A Moroccan delegation recently visited Abidjan as part of the strategic partnership between the National Lottery de Côte d’Ivoire (LONACI) and the Royal Society of Horse Encouragement (SOREC). This collaboration aims to enhance mutual interests in promoting horse racing and lottery activities in both regions.
The meeting commenced with opening remarks from Mr. Cheick Oumar Diarra, the Director of Marketing and Customer Experience at LONACI. He was joined by Mr. Pierre Alain Kouassi, Director of Sales and Network Management, alongside their respective teams, who are instrumental in implementing strategies to boost sales and customer engagement.
Representing SOREC were Mr. Hassan Benabdesselam, Director of Operations, and Mrs. Sara Mansour, Director of International Development and Cooperation. Their participation underscores SOREC’s commitment to fostering international collaborations that enhance the horse racing sector.
During the visit, the two organizations reviewed two years of collaboration, focusing on successes and challenges. A significant aspect of the agenda was evaluating the distribution mechanism through a tour of the LONACI sales network. This visit provided insights into operational practices that could be adapted for improved efficiency and reach.
The discussions also delved into contract developments, ensuring that both parties align on future initiatives. One of the highlights was unveiling SOREC’s prospects for 2026, which includes plans to enrich the Moroccan horse racing program and introduce new events that could attract greater participation and investment.
Moreover, the exchanges aimed to strengthen the visibility and promotion of Moroccan races within the Ivorian market. This initiative is critical as it seeks to create a shared platform for horse racing enthusiasts and improve commercial opportunities for both LONACI and SOREC.
