La Marocaine Des Jeux et des Sports (MDJS) took part in the international seminar “Anticipate, Fight, Forward Looking,” jointly organized by the World Lottery Association (WLA), United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS) and The European Lotteries (EL), at the Olympic Museum headquarters in Lausanne.
Dedicated to the integrity of sport, the protection of regulated markets and the fight against illegal sports betting, the seminar brought together several institutional players, lottery operators, regulators and international experts to discuss the evolving challenges facing the gaming and sports ecosystem. The event also served as a platform for strengthening international cooperation and sharing best practices to safeguard the integrity of regulated gaming markets.
The MDJS expressed its sincere thanks to Jean-Luc Moner-Banet, President of ULIS, Andreas Kötter, President of the WLA, Luca Esposito Poleo, Executive Director of the WLA and Secretary General of ULIS, as well as Piet Van Baeveghem, Secretary General of EL, for organizing the international meeting, the quality of the exchanges, and their active involvement, valuable insights and substantive contributions to discussions on these critical issues.
The MDJS delegation was led by Younes El Mechrafi, Chief Executive Officer, in the presence of Ismail EL KSSEYER, Chief Operating Officer, and Ali Kadiri, Chief of Staff to the CEO, demonstrating the importance the institution places on integrity, the protection of regulated markets and multilateral collaboration in addressing emerging risks across the gaming industry.
As part of the session dedicated to the construction of common positions and the development of collective responses to the new threats weighing on the sector, Ali Kadiri shared the experience of the MDJS in the fight against illegal gambling, the protection of sports competitions and collaboration with institutional and international stakeholders. His intervention highlighted the importance of coordinated action, information sharing and cross-border partnerships in strengthening the integrity of sports betting markets and combating illegal gambling activities.
Through this participation and contribution, the MDJS reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a responsible gaming environment based on the exchange of expertise, effective coordination between stakeholders and the anticipation of transformations shaping the future of the sector. The institution also underscored the value of international dialogue and collective action in promoting sustainable, transparent and well-regulated gaming markets that protect both consumers and the integrity of sport.
