The Gambling Board of Namibia has hosted an industry consultation workshop on the licensing of bookmakers and totalizators at the Namibia Institute of Public Administration and Management (NIPAM) in Windhoek.

The workshop brought together key stakeholders, regulators, industry experts and regional and international representatives to discuss licensing requirements, regulatory compliance, responsible gambling and the future of Namibia’s betting industry.

The engagement provided a platform for participants to exchange knowledge, share industry perspectives and discuss regulatory considerations relating to bookmaker and totalizator licensing.

Discussions also focused on the importance of regulatory compliance and responsible gambling in supporting a well-regulated betting market.

The workshop forms part of ongoing efforts to promote transparency, accountability and sustainability within Namibia’s betting industry through stakeholder engagement and collaboration.

By bringing together representatives from across the sector, the Gambling Board of Namibia aims to support continued dialogue on licensing and regulatory practices as the country’s betting industry evolves.
