The National Lottery of Côte d’Ivoire (LONACI) has begun preparations for its 2027 budget, with a focus on anticipating challenges, prioritizing investments, and optimizing the allocation of resources in line with the strategic direction of Director General Dramane Coulibaly.

The budget preparation process took place on September 10, 2026, during a budget conference held in the Council Hall to examine the proposed 2027 budget. The proceedings were led by Dominique M’Bahia, Deputy Director of Social Action, serving on behalf of Deputy Director General Abdoulkarim Ouattara.

The conference brought together representatives from various departments to review budget proposals, assess identified needs, and make the necessary resource allocation decisions. Under Coulibaly’s leadership, LONACI aims to position its budget as a strategic tool for planning, performance management, and institutional transformation, while supporting the organization’s development objectives.

Discussions focused on prioritizing projects, optimizing resources, and balancing strategic investments with operational efficiency and cost control. Beyond the financial planning process, the preparation of the 2027 budget is intended to strengthen strategic planning and reinforce a culture of performance across the organization.

Each budget proposal is being assessed based on its potential to create value and contribute to LONACI’s strategic objectives, with the aim of ensuring that available resources deliver meaningful impact.

The coordinated approach is expected to result in a comprehensive budget proposal aligned with the strategic priorities of the General Directorate and the operational needs of LONACI’s various departments.

Through the budget conference, Coulibaly and the LONACI management team reaffirmed their commitment to forward-looking planning and disciplined resource management, positioning the 2027 budget as a tool to support the organization’s sustainable performance and long-term development.
