The Professional Gaming Betting Association of Kenya (PGBA) has commended two of its members, Pepeta and betPawa, for their impactful corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at improving community welfare and strengthening sports development across Kenya.

The weekend of giving commenced on Friday with Pepeta’s #PepetanaJamii initiative in Kangemi, where the gaming operator distributed sanitary towels to 400 young women, providing menstrual hygiene supplies expected to meet their needs for the next five months.

The initiative is designed to promote menstrual health, dignity, and overall well-being by extending essential support to vulnerable members of the community and reducing barriers faced by young women.

On Saturday, betPawa reaffirmed its commitment to Kenyan sports by providing financial support to the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) ahead of the 2026/2027 National League season. The funding will be used to facilitate player match-winning bonuses and support game administration, helping to enhance athlete motivation and the smooth running of league competitions.

PGBA praised both initiatives, noting that they reflect the gaming industry’s growing contribution beyond entertainment by investing in social development, community empowerment, and the advancement of sports.

The association said the efforts by Pepeta and betPawa demonstrate how responsible gaming operators can create meaningful social impact through strategic partnerships and community-focused programmes that improve lives while supporting the growth of Kenyan sport.
