Ikorodu City FC has announced the continuation of its partnership with sports betting firm BetKing for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. This marks the third consecutive year the two parties will work together.
The Lagos-based club, affectionately known as the Oga Boys, has made impressive strides since the partnership began in 2023.
They secured promotion to the NPFL in 2024 and finished fourth in their debut season.
Notably, the team achieved a remarkable 6–0 victory over Katsina United, one of the heaviest defeats in league history.
BetKing, operating under the KingMakers umbrella, has invested significantly in Nigerian sports in recent years.
Their contributions extend beyond football; they have supported para-athletics at the National Sports Festival in Ogun State and organized a wheelchair basketball championship.
Earlier this year, they also opened a community sports complex in Ifako Ijaiye, which has already benefited thousands of local residents.
The renewed agreement with Ikorodu City FC is expected to bolster the club’s ambitions of solidifying its position in the NPFL while enhancing BetKing’s presence in Nigerian football.
Club officials emphasize that BetKing’s support has been crucial to their rapid development, and the company highlights its commitment to grassroots initiatives and inclusivity.
