The Burkinabe National Lottery (LONAB) has presented a cheque worth 82,516,500 FCFA to Bienvenue Boro, a merchant from Ouahigouya who won the prize in the 4+1 draw held on September 4, 2026.
The official cheque presentation ceremony took place on September 25, 2026, bringing together LONAB officials, partners from its sales network and other guests to celebrate the winner.
The ceremony was presided over by Dieudonné Vebamba, Technical Adviser and representative of LONAB Director General Ibrahim Ben Harouna Zarani. Boro secured the winning prize with one of four tickets he played in the September 4 draw.
Speaking on behalf of the Director General, Vebamba congratulated the winner and highlighted the importance of transparency and reliability in LONAB’s lottery operations. He also encouraged Boro to use the substantial winnings responsibly to support his personal and family well-being.
Boro expressed his appreciation to LONAB and said he plans to invest part of the winnings in expanding his business activities and developing real estate projects.
“I am rich now, I will build real houses,” Boro said.
The prize presentation underscores LONAB’s continued role in creating lottery winners while contributing to Burkina Faso’s socio-economic development through its operations. The national lottery continues to operate under its motto, “Lots to winners, profits to Faso.”
