LONACI has made significant strides in its commitment to Responsible Gaming under the leadership of Director General Mr. Dramane COULIBALY. Led by Mr. Jean-Claude Kouassi, Head of the Autonomous Service of Quality and Responsible Gaming (SAQJR), this initiative aimed to travel across Côte d’Ivoire to promote healthy and ethical gaming practices.
Mr. Kouassi, the driving force behind this mission, coordinated efforts with the Sales (DVGR), Marketing (DMEC), and Communication (DACIP) teams. Together, they transformed various points of sale into spaces for dialogue and prevention. The clear objectives were to protect minors, raise awareness about the risks associated with gaming, and encourage sellers to adopt responsible gambling practices.
From Korhogo to Aboisso, and including Yamoussoukro, Bouaké, Man, Gagnoa, Daloa, San-Pédro, Abengourou, and Abidjan, the caravan engaged bettors and sellers with powerful messages like “Play, yes, but in moderation” and “You are not old enough; you are out of the game.”
As President of the African Lottery Association and a member of the Executive Committee of the World Lottery Association (WLA), Mr. COULIBALY has set a challenge to make LONACI a model for African lotteries in Responsible Gaming. The organization is committed to achieving WLA Level 3 Responsible Gaming certification this year, reflecting its dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This caravan serves as a testament to that commitment.
