LONASE Denies CFA 50 million Contract with Fénial Digital

LONASE Denies CFA 50 million Contract with Fénial Digital

The Loterie Nationale Sénégalaise (LONASE) has formally denied reports alleging that former Director General Toussaint Manga signed a partnership agreement worth CFA 50 million with media outlet Fénial Digital.

The controversy emerged following reports circulating publicly that a CFA 50 million contract had been awarded to Fénial Digital during Manga’s tenure and was subsequently terminated by the current LONASE management.

In a press release, LONASE’s Director of Communication categorically rejected the claim, stating that no such agreement exists or has ever existed between the national lottery and the media outlet.

“We would like to formally deny these allegations. No contract of this nature exists, nor has ever existed, between LONASE and the media outlet cited,” the Director of Communication said.

Former LONASE Director General Toussaint Manga also dismissed the allegations, describing the purported contract as false and challenging the current management to provide evidence of its existence.

“This so-called contract never existed. This is an outright lie. I challenge the current senior management to produce and publish any proof or copy of this so-called contract with Fénial Digital,” Manga said.

Manga further called on LONASE’s management to publish contracts concluded during both the previous and current management periods, arguing that greater transparency would help clarify the issue.

The former director led LONASE from 2024 to 2026, while the current management has maintained that no contractual commitment corresponding to the allegations was concluded with Fénial Digital.

The company’s latest clarification effectively rejects the existence of the alleged CFA 50 million partnership, while Manga’s demand for documentary evidence places the focus on transparency and the production of verifiable records. For now, both LONASE’s current management and its former director have denied the existence of the alleged agreement.
