SportPesa has launched the inaugural SportPesa National Pool Circuit, a nationwide competition aimed at transforming pool from a popular recreational activity into a structured and competitive sport with clear pathways for player development.
The circuit will provide pool players across Kenya with a national platform to compete, develop their skills and gain recognition, while creating opportunities for emerging talent to progress through different levels of competition.
Delivered in partnership with Cuevolution Plus Africa, the inaugural SportPesa National Pool Circuit will begin at grassroots level before progressing through regional competitions and culminating in the National Finals in Nairobi.
Players will compete for a share of KSh 8 million in total prize money, adding a significant incentive for participants while raising the profile of competitive pool in Kenya.
SportPesa said the initiative builds on its continued investment in sports development across the country. The company has supported sporting disciplines including football, rugby and boxing, and said its expansion into pool reflects its commitment to developing sustainable sporting ecosystems and creating pathways for talent at different levels.
The National Pool Circuit is expected to give players greater access to organized competition while helping strengthen the development and visibility of pool as a competitive sport in Kenya.
Through the initiative, SportPesa is positioning pool alongside other sporting disciplines receiving structured investment and development support across the country.
