West Ham United will have a new front-of-shirt sponsor for the 2025-2026 season, as Irish bookmaker BoyleSports replaces Betway. The exclusive report by a media outlet states that this one-year sponsorship deal is worth approximately £12 million.
The timing of the change comes amid controversy surrounding West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta, who is currently under investigation for alleged spot-fixing. Interestingly, it was Betway that first raised concerns about suspicious betting patterns involving Paqueta, leading to the FA charging the player.
Last Gambling Sponsor Before Premier League Ban
This will be West Ham’s final season featuring a gambling company on their kits, as the Premier League’s ban on such sponsorships will take effect in the 2026-2027 season. Despite this, some critics argue that replacing one betting company with another demonstrates a lack of ethical responsibility.
Will Prochaska, director of the Coalition to End Gambling Ads, expressed strong opposition, stating, “The modern gambling industry has poisoned football, and teams like West Ham have lost their moral compass. That the club, despite this background, is replacing one gambling sponsor with another shows they have not learned anything and are still putting corporate greed above the interest of fans.”
Club and Sponsor Decline to Comment
West Ham has declined to comment on the new deal, except to clarify that their separation from Betway was not connected to the Paqueta investigation. BoyleSports has also refrained from making any statements.
West Ham’s new kits featuring the BoyleSports logo will be launched by their kit supplier in July 2025.
