Betika supports official draw for the Nzango Competition, known as “The League of Queens,” was held on June 14, 2025, at the Espace Evandelo of the BelCampus Technological University in Kinshasa. This event is part of the 6th edition of the MIA IDENTITY festival.
Support and Sponsorship
The draw received significant support from Betika na Community, an official partner dedicated to promoting women’s sports and cultural initiatives with a strong social impact. Betika na Communauté plays a crucial role in enhancing the heritage and well-being of local communities.
The event also benefited from institutional backing from the Cultural Promotion Fund (FPC), as well as sponsorship from BelCampus Technological University and the IBEM Foundation. All partners share a common vision: to use this competition as a means of empowerment and expression for Congolese female youth.
Competition Details
The draw determined the matchups for 16 teams representing various municipalities in Kinshasa. These teams will compete in the group stage from August 16-19, 2025, followed by the knockout phase on August 20. The small and grand finals are set for August 21, 2025.
Promoting Nzango
Beyond its sporting goals, this initiative aims to promote Nzango, a traditional Congolese discipline recognized for fostering social cohesion, expressing identity, and promoting female leadership.
The public is encouraged to attend and support these ambassadors of sport and culture throughout the competition, fostering a spirit of conviviality, emulation, and respect for heritage values.
