Benin is hosting the 23rd edition of the UEMOA Community Mass, a major event that brings together the National Lottery and Urban Mutual Betting Societies from across the UEMOA community space.

The main event of this year’s edition took place on May 7, 2026. Following the event, several winning tickets were paid by the various participating Societies, resulting in financial transactions requiring regularization between the concerned lotteries.

It is within this context that the UEMOA Community Mass Compensation Committee is meeting in Cotonou from August 10 to 13, 2026, to undertake the necessary compensation and account regularization activities.

The activities are aimed at regularizing accounts between the various Societies of National Lottery and Urban Mutual Betting Societies that participated in the event. The process is essential to ensuring the proper reconciliation of financial transactions arising from the payment of winning tickets during the UEMOA Community Mass.

LONACI – Loterie Nationale de Côte d’Ivoire is actively participating in the compensation activities through a delegation led by Mr. Abdoulkarim Ouattara, Deputy General Director.

LONACI’s participation reflects the institution’s commitment to strengthening cooperation among UEMOA community lotteries and contributing to the principles of good governance in the management of common operations.

Through these compensation activities, the various Societies are further consolidating their collaboration mechanisms, transparency, and financial regularization, which are essential to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the UEMOA Community Mass.
